Santa Caterina is also famous for its innumerable ski touring tracks on the Ortles-Cevedale peaks, all over 3,000 metres above sea level.

Just to name a few among the most beautiful: the Gran Zebrù, the Cevedale, the San Matteo, the Tresero. Reaching these peaks gives enormous satisfaction, from the peak the panorama which one enjoys is stupendous and the horizon is so vast that one feels the sensation of dominating the entire alpine arch. The descent on the return journey is also magnificent, in fresh snow, above all for those who leave at dawn and do not wait until the sun is too high for the descent.

Telemark can also be practised on some of these mountains.
